this show really is too darn hot!

Working on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots is really an amazing experience.

Consider that when we shot Dukes of Hazzard and Dr. Quinn and Grand Slam and Smallville that we took in the neighborhood of 10 months to shoot 22 episodes. 10 months.

On the Haves and the Have Nots we shot 20 episodes in 18 working days!

And the show looks amazing!

  1. I think Tyler Perry has a great hit. He has put on TV the troubles that people are dealing with everyday. Katheryn thinks that her money is so important that she forgets what her husband needs truly are. IF she would put her money aside and start looking at her family she would see that they just care about being loved. Amanda is the way she is because mother has not been there for her daughter. Amanda is reaching out to her mother but her mother only see the picture she is in. Wyatt has trouble only because is mother is always letting him off for things. She needs to make Wyatt accountable for his actions. She needs to quit being his friend and start being his mother. Hanna I think is so incredible in this show. You totally believes in GOD. She even shares that love with other people. Keep up the great work Hanna. Jim is looking for something that was lost a long time ago. Jim wants love but goes in head over heels before thinking what the outcome could cost him. The Cryer family needs to sit down with a councilor and put their pain on the table so that everyone can see why each person hurts. Love can conquer anything if done with a loving heart.

  2. I’m so excited for John’s new show, second season. So different from all of his other projects and a very intriguing premise that always ends with a cliff hanger. I may be in the minority, but I kind of like Judge Jim Cryer because I think he’s really a decent guy who made some poor choices; he’s demonstrated that he can a good father at heart. He pays attention to Wyatt and Amanda’s needs but perhaps needs more counseling himself so they’ll know how to deal with their own problems. His relationship with Katheryn is another matter, but there are many more dynamics that they both need to encounter before they can solve them. His extramarital affairs are such that he is looking for the kind of release from a tense day that he does not get from Katheryn. A man of that stature wants someone who is fun and exciting, and she is nothing but rude and boring. So why should he stay home with her when she only berates him leaves him no other avenue? He’s playing with fire in the case of Candace, but he likes the adventure and the risk – attributes of a leader who likes to take charge, but at the same time desires to be dominated in the bedroom. Tyler Perry has given us a lovely mix of madness and mayhem. Best of luck to you, John!

  3. The Haves and Have Nots is one of the BEST TV shows out there — outstanding writing! You can’t look away for a minute! Looking forward to seeing you tonight, John!
